Préparer sa toile

Lors d'un RR, il est préférable de préparer sa toile afin de ne pas retrouver à la fin une toile qui soit toute effilochée...:10:

Quelle grandeur pour ma toile ?

On determine le nombre de croix par centimètre de toile puis on determine ensuite le nombre de points alloués à chaque participante.
Puis vient ensuite le moment de décider de la disposition des différents motifs : en lignes, chevauchés...etc

Exemple :
Pour un RR à 8 participantes, sur toile aïda 5,5. On détermine que chaque brodeuse de la ronde aura un espace de 70 pts sur 70. on décide que pour la disposition on aura 4 motifs alignés sur 2 lignes superposées... ça donnera :

On fait donc le calcul :
Pour la largeur : 70 points x 4 motifs= 280 points que l'on divise par 5,5 points/cm = 51 cm
Pour la hauteur : 70 points x 2 motifs = 140 points que l'on divise par 5,5 points/cm = 26 cm

A ces dimension, on ajoute une marge de chaque coté, cette marge est généralement de 10 cm de chaque coté mais elle varie selon l'utilisation finale de la toile.
On ajoute donc à nos chiffres ci dessus :
Pour la largeur : 51 cm + (10cm x 2) = 71 cm
Pour la hauteur : 26 cm + (10cm x 2) = 46 cm

Comment délimiter les espaces sur ma toile ?

Tout d'abord je vous conseille de faire un ourlet ou un point de zigzag tout autour de votre toile afin qu'elle ne s'effiloche pas.
Ensuite si on reprend notre exemple, chaque brodeuse aura un espace de 70 points sur 70. Il faudra donc délimiter cet espace.
On délimite d'abord l'espace complet de la toile en faisant un tour ou en utilisant un fil de couleur (rouge ou noir) à grand point à 10 cm de chaque bord. Ensuite on compte 70 points de largeur et on fait de mêm avec le fil de couleur à grand points on délimite sur toute la hauteur de la toile puis on recommence jusqu' a avoir autant de cases que de brodeuses dans la ronde, 8 cases pour notre exemple. Les fils de couleurs seront otés au retour de votre toile, il ne restera plus que les broderies de vos coéquipières !
